They would like at the objects needed to get dressed in most cases the only things needed are the clothing, but when helping some relearn how to dress themselves after a surgery they may need adaptive equipment. Such as a button hook, zipper puller, gripper and/or a sock aid. These are only some of the many equipment out there to help ease the process of getting dressed. Next is space demand, which is the physical environments requirements of the activity. For getting dressed, one would need enough space to bend over and reach to put clothes on. The lighting can not be too dark in order to be able to see what oneself is doing. Then social demands which includes social environment and cultural contexts that may be required by the activity. In the case of getting dressed there is no social demands. Sequence and timing would need to be addressed, for dressing the only sequence required would be putting undergarments on before the actual clothes themselves. Client factors include values, beliefs, and spirituality, body functions and body structures. For values, beliefs and spirituality for dressing this would not include much maybe just their religion beliefs incase that influences how they get dressed, or if they have extra steps in getting dressed because of what they wear. An occupational therapist would need to be accustomed to the new way in order to help teach the client efficient and maybe easier ways of getting dressed. Body function also fall under client factors which include the psychological functions of the body system.(p.S22) The body functions required for getting dressed would be mental functions, the cognitive awareness of what one is doing and how they would go about getting dressed. Attention and consciousness in order to stay alert with what one is doing and finish the occupation completely. Some visual functions are required, but if visual functions are low the Occupational Therapist would work on getting dressed, just in a different way without out visual functions. The most important body function for getting dressed would be joint mobility. The joints need to be able to bend and move around in order for one to dress themselves, without that capability if would much more difficult to get dressed alone, and assistance might be needed. Lastly, for body functions sensitivity to temperature would be important to decide what type of clothing is most appropriate. The last thing that
