In the book I am reading called, Occupational Therapy Careers written by Marguerite Abbott, Marie-Lousie Franciscus, and Zona R. Weeks. Each of the leaders has a similar understanding of what an organizational culture should demonstrate. The meetings are offered so everyone in the organization is on the same side of what they will want their organization to look like. “Problems are discussed, treatment emphases are changed, or the groups may decide that maximum benefit has been derived” (87). By having staff meetings, it makes it beneficial to the organization when dealing with patients and understanding what is the proper treatment for them. The monthly reports are enforced so everyone in the organization can record and keep track of the procedure they have performed on a patient and help to keep track of what the patient’s will be paying for during each visit. “Productivity reporting and quality assurance activities help ensure effective treatment at reasonable cost” (86).
