The article by Negrusa, Haogan, Warner, Schroeder, and Pang (2016) deliberates on the results of the comparison of anesthesia related complications in different types of anesthesia provider models. Data was taken from the Optum research database and included 5,740,470 anesthesia related cases performed from the 2011-2012 period in different anesthesia settings. Five delivery models consisting of anesthesiologist only, CRNA only, and three different collaborative team models were reviewed.
