2. “Perry, what do you think the cell membrane reminds you of?” Phineas asked Perry. “The cell membrane has the same job as the ticket booth entrance!” Perry said “The cell membrane let's nutrients and waste in and out of the cell, and the ticket booth lets certain things into the zoo, also they control who goes in and out of the zoo. That is how the cell membrane is similar to the ticket …show more content…
“Phineas can you please explain to me how the chloroplast is like the solar panels and the geodome at the zoo are very similar?”
“Well of course I would. The chloroplast uses sunlight to convert energy to make sugar for the cell. That’s how the solar panels and the geodome work. The solar panels give the energy that produces light. The Desert Dome uses the sun’s energy to keep the desert environment warm during the winter for the desert animals.”
“How do you know all of this?” Perry says in amazement.
“I actually pay attention during class.” Phineas snickered 4. “ Wow Phineas look at the delivery truck. It’s like something in the cell but I can’t think of the name. Help me out.”
“Perry I’m surprised that you didn't know right away that the feed delivery truck was like the endoplasmic reticulum. The feed delivery trucks transports feed and other material from place to place in the zoo.” Phineas said.
“Umm… Phineas aren't you forgetting to tell me how the endoplasmic reticulum works?”
“Oh right, thanks. the endoplasmic reticulum transports materials from one part of the cell to another part.”
“Holy guacamoly! They are like the exact same.” Perry said shockingly.

Oh! That’s like the nuclear membrane in the cell. The nuclear membrane controls what comes in and out of the nucleus.” Phineas says as he knows everything under the sun.
11. “Hehe. Who’s that short, funny looking guy in the suit and tie?”perry asked while laughing.
“He’s the zoo director. He is in charge of all day activities at the zoo. Seriously would it hurt you to read a little?” Phineas said annoyedly.
“Yes, yes it would. anyway how does that relate to the cell?” Said Perry.
“The zoo director is like the nucleus in the cell because the nucleus is the control center of the cell and regulates all activities in the cell.” Phineas said.
12. “What do you think of when someone says mitochondria?” Perry asked
“Well… now that you mention it, I think of the network building. You know since we are right by it let's go take a look. Well, I just had a light bulb strike in my brain! The mitochondria is often referred to as the ‘powerhouse’ of the cell because it keeps the cell. The network building controls all the energy in the zoo, it makes sure that the part that should be on is on.” Phineas explained to Perry who was spacing off.
13. “What’s that cool looking thing over there. And no there is no sign saying what it is.” Perry
