• Needs Assessment o Based on my Kaplan Diagnostic Test score of 67.8% I fall into the category of situation four. Therefore, I will need to do a great amount of review and studying to prepare myself for a passing grade on the NCLEX examination. o Weakest Areas Include:

o I seem to review better later at night around 6-10, so I am planning two hours of study time a night between this time frame. o Content I am going to review is not just going to be my weak areas as stated above but overall try to review additional med/surg to help keep these familiar topics in mind. o For my types of review I plan to use Kaplan focused test on my weak areas to help strengthen, and other areas to review that knowledge. I will also be doing one Question Bank a week to quiz myself over all content as I continue studying. I will be using my NCLEX book and classroom notes for further understanding and/or clarification. o Remediation will be done at the beginning of each study/ review session, which will be no more than 50 minute blocks. • Plan for Test Day o Sleep
I will be getting at least eight hours a sleep the night before the NCLEX or trying to as well as the night before that because sometimes I tend to not get very good sleep the night due to anxiety before a big test. o Nutrition
For the breakfast before the test I plan to have eggs, with a bowl of fresh fruit such as strawberries, bananas, and oranges. I will also have half a coke to help wake me up along with water to keep hydrated. I am going to bring a granola bar for a snack. Plus I will be putting on chapstick to keep my lips from drying out and cracking because that sometimes can be bothersome. o Time Management
I want to wake up at least one hour and a half before I have to leave the house. That way I have enough time to have a nutritious breakfast as well as get ready for the day. I will be leaving the house and hour earlier than it takes to get to the testing site just in case I run into traffic or have some type of car issues. o Transportation
I will be driving myself to the testing center. o Stress
