I realize now that I should have cared all along. Many people could care less about their name, before doing this paper that is how I felt, I did not care one bit where my name originated or what famous person had it, but now that I have researched it I want to get my hands on every possible fact about my name that I can. Even though this paper is over I will never want to stop learning about my name and everything that is connected to it. Is my name something people call me? Is my name something people know me by? Is my name important to me? My name is my link to the past. If I were to do something bad, yes it would tarnish the family name, but people change, however people always remember the name, and the actions that go with the name, not the person. People choose not to remember the good things I will do, they will try and get a hold of every single bad thing I did. It doesn’t matter what people think of you as long as you know the truth. “I’m not my name. My name is something I wear, like a shirt. It gets worn. I outgrow it, I change it.” – Jerry
