It is my responsibility to bring the best out of my Soldiers. If that means I must adapt to their needs, so be it. At the end of the day Soldiers are people and what works for some may not work for others. I must adapt and overcome if I want to achieve true success as a leader. As a leader I must find out what drives that individual Soldier. It can be as simple as a steady paycheck for some or extremely complex for others. We all have something underneath the surface pushing us to strive for more. It is my job as the leader to find out what that is for each one of my Soldiers; then extract the best out of them. By applying these techniques this will allow them to reach their ultimate potential.
In conclusion, direct communication combined with adaption and motivation is my leadership philosophy. These components are paramount in developing and cultivating relationships with subordinates, peers, and superiors alike.
