Vinny was a personal injury lawyer in New York. During this case there were three eye witnesses saying that Bill and Stan were the criminals, who murdered the convenience store clerk. The first witness Sam, said that the boy went into the store while he started making breakfast. He claimed the boys were in the store for five minutes. Vinny Gambini proved that Sam was inconsistent with his story because Vinny asked him what he was making for breakfast and learned Sam was making grits. Vinny had learned it takes twenty minutes to make proper grits for breakfast. Once this information was shared with the jury, Sam was now unsure of his testimony. This made Vinny one step closer to proving his clients innocents. The next witness was George and he claimed that he saw the boys from his window. Vinny provided pictures of George’s muddy window with a rusty window screen and some trees blocking the convenient store. Yet again, another step towards Bill and Stan’s freedom. The sheriff shared information that two boys were arrested two days ago that fit the description of the defendants and the description of a stolen vehicle which was the same as the defendants. Inside of the vehicle, they found the weapon that was used in the murder of the convenient store clerk. This part in the movie where the sheriff gathered information for the defense attorney reminded me of the court clerk because the sheriff recovered different data of stolen cars. They both have similar responsibilities during a trial. The state of Alabama dropped all charges against Bill and Stan. This was Vinny Gambianis first trial that he had
