A creole language is a natural language that has developed from a pidgin. In his art piece Decreolization: An arrangement from dark to light, the style is installation art which he uses the Bahraini pottery to showcase a continuum. As well as how different a single language has different shades or ways to be used nowadays and in the past. So going around and asking people of what their thoughts where of the art piece and one student at De Anza named Matt Mercado said “The picture shows change. The dark to light or light to dark illustrates the change of insight and perspectives.’’ (Mercado, 2015) This students saw more in depth meaning to the picture of the art piece and that is okay because this just shows how open Michael’s art can be interpreted as. Together, text and objects function as phrases that comment at, allude to, and explore asymmetric power relations.’’ (Marx & Zavattero, 2011) He is explaining how each item of his art pieces not just those used to make the piece but rather the title and description can also tie up to complete his work. This is important to know because we get an insight on the artist and see either what the objects are made of or what the art piece meant to the artist. He also goes on explaining that even if parts are not technically companionable but they all give a part that relates them together to build an art piece that shows power to him.
