Meta-analysis is the analysis of statistical results from multiple common scientific studies. It is very useful because it combines the results to develop a common truth of support behind those multiple results. The results from a single study may contain high error levels that would deem the study unreliable, as results vary from one study to the next.

I have completed this run 8 of the last 15 years. However, at the completion of each run, my body says to me that we’re never doing this again. But, I do end up doing it again because it’s something that I know will be a challenge each time, but Performance outcome produces feelings of high self-efficacy.
Prior to and during the run, I am face with tremendous amounts of Physiological feedback, which refers to sensations that one receives from the body during performance. Agitation, anxiety, sweaty palms, and a racing heart may lead to a person feeling less capable than if he or she is more relaxed. (PSU, 2016) I do rely on vicarious experiences throughout the course. For example, when I encounter an elderly person or a seemingly over-weight person performing well, it gives me a boost, in thinking if they can…so can I!
