McDonald’s corporate organization structure is designed as functional. Mostly, functional structure is used for big company like McDonald’s. McDonald’s also uses the structure well and successfully. Functional structure is known by its large degree of formalization, and its standardized ways of operation. Mostly, the communication of functional structure is done by vertical way but McDonald’s is done by horizontal communication. In functional structure, decision-making is a very important step and it is usually made by the top position of McDonald’s, the CEO. McDonald’s Restaurant Structure level is divisional. Divisional structure consists of many teams focusing on single products or service (ukessay,2015).
