The most common cancers people get is lung cancer and breast cancer. Unlike breast cancer, lung cancer has many causes man made causes and some environmental. Smoking is the main reason for a person to get lung cancer. When you are around people that smoke you can get lung cancer too. People think just because you don't smoke that you won't get it, but inhaling the smoke till can led for you to get lung cancer. Breast cancer is most common in women and carried down in genes in the family history. Unlike lung cancer you can't get breast cancer from smoking or environmental things, breast cancer is the most common genetically passed cancer because it runs in the family. To decrease lung cancer you need to quit smoking all together. Some people put tobacco in their mouth, which decreases your chances of getting lung cancer, but you can get gum disease. You can't really do things to prevent breast cancer, but insure you're healthy and eating right. A mammogram is a x ray that checks a woman's breast for cancer. Some women are unsure about when to do this. As soon as you start developing breast around the age of 16 you can start getting checked.
