In both the Texas Senate and House of Representatives, lobbyists use their powers of persuasion to sway and control the way many Congressmen and Representatives vote during sessions. Which can be boiled down to two hard points. One, being that lobbyists manipulate Texas legislator’s ideas, by filling their minds with greed and shady back alley deals. The other is, money seems to be the only thing that drives lobbyists, and not the good of the people, or something that is morally correct. Texas politics should be conducted in a way that the people can be represented with the idea of a moral, fair, and just system, not the greedy ideals the lobbyists help create.
Despite the pros and cons of lobbyism, many ex-legislators turn to it as a career. One of the reasons ex-legislators turn into lobbyists, is the experienced they gained during sessions, with policies, state and local laws, and their popularity in the Capital.
