Limitless Limitless is a 2011 thrilling movie directed by Neil Burger starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. The movie captures the attention of the audience via strong depiction of both moral and ethical dilemmas. Some of the main characters are caught up by situations in which they have to make tough decisions. For instance, the main character Edward Morra also called Eddie, faces several moral dilemmas. Right from the beginning, Morra is portrayed as a struggling writer that is facing problems with his manuscripts, handling a break up his girlfriend Lindy and not paying his rent.

According to Emmanuel Kant, an action is right if and only if (and because) the action treats persons (including oneself) as ends in themselves and not merely as means (Timmons 16). Morra faced the dilemma; one is bound to act in rational ways like other beings. However, rational thinking and acting comes with moral consequences that have to been undergone during the time of decision-making. So, his decision of taking the NZT drugs was morally wrong because if everyone was using drugs in order to achieve their goals, the majority of population will either be sick or dead.
It is true that Morra was struggling and had to find a way t o succeed and take control of his life but the protagonist shouldn’t’ have used the NZT48 drug that can put an end at his life only for succession and fame. On others could have accepted his decision if Morra had use the drug in order to cure diseases like Ebola, Cancer or HIV. In order to preserve his health and life, Morra should get rid of this drugs and find another way to success. Using drugs is morally wrong because it damages your health as well as threatening your
