Migrant workers come from all across the United States of America, Due to the great depression. An estimate of 1.3 million workers migrated into California to work on farms which provided living space and meals for the migrant workers. These men were mostly professional workers which lost their jobs after WW1 during the great depression they were also Mexicans and Mexican Americans, they worked for 75 cents to 1.25$ a day, which most of it went back to the owner due to providing living space an meals for the worker.
