In my thought after completing the reading, how does a counselor appropriately respond to what the other individual has to articulate? In my judgment he/she uses their Listening techniques, and observe the type of conversation being displayed, only then he can suitably respond to what the other individual affirmed. I think the writer is stating that there are many different approaches to a how a counselor would appropriately respond to another individual. The counselor would most likely used the most commonly used approaches. Therefore, I think that if I was a counselor I would react the same way as the writer indicates, according to the individual and what state of intellect the individual may be encountering. In fact, it is defined according to the individual and their mentality. Exactly as you would treat each baby, according to their demands. The author is stating the appropriate means to react to an individual as a counselor is to use certain ways to obtain an agreement on what the individual is attempting to depict. Yet, still more importantly, be compassionate and considerate nevertheless, at that place are a bunch of ways to play in response according to the individual and their viewpoint.
