Before L.B.J. was sworn into office he worked as a teacher in a small Mexican-American school in Cotulla, Texas. This job seemed strange because if you were white then you would work at a white school, if you were black then you would work in an all black school, and if you were Mexican then you would work in an all-Mexican school.
