They are both smart, witty, and thoughtful. Lucy and James do encounter some fights with each other, but they never stay mad for long because their bond is too strong. Some other characters that are introduced include Bo, James’s brother, Kathryn, Lucy’s sister, Cherry and Wolf, Lucy’s parents, and Dot and Dan, James’s parents, Grandma Rusher, Jairo, Nan, Beth, and CeCe. When James and Lucy talk about these people, they get to explain stories and learn more about each other and their feelings.
Kristen Tracy specifically writes for teenagers and children, so her writing style is a little more youthful. For example, Kristen does not use adult language. She uses vocabulary that an 11-17 year old would understand. Kristen also writes poetry, so she has a big creative side, which is why she is an author. Kristen has wrote a total of 10 books, all for teens and tweens. All of her books have some kind of love story in them, which appeals to a younger audience.
This book is a very great book to read. Not only does it show the reader the story of two developing friends, but it also teaches the reader how to be a friend. It’s overall purpose is to show the reader that not everything will turn out how you expect it to turn out, but that is okay because you can figure it
