Kobe is a 6’6 shooting guard in the NBA that plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was born August 23, 1978. Growing up, Kobe, went to Lower Merion High School. During his high school career, Kobe absolutely dominated the teams he played against. He was a man amongst boys! In High School Kobe scored almost three thousand points, won a state championship and received honors for being a McDonald's All-American, Gatorade Player of the Year, and Naismith Player of the Year. His dominance and very good SAT score allowed Kobe to go to any college that he wanted to play for! But Kobe didn’t have his eyes on college, instead he wanted to go straight to the NBA and in the year of 1996 he declared for the NBA Draft. That year Kobe was drafted the 13th overall pick to the Charlotte Hornets and was then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers shortly after that. His work ethic was amazing and I admire that! During the off-season Kobe runs this program that most people call the 666 program. Every day he runs for two hours, spends two hours practicing basketball, and spends another two hours weightlifting for six days a week for six months. This is not only brutal on your body physically, but also mentally.
