Today we talk about knee problems in adolescents.
The knee is a joint that suffers so much more for the activities of daily living such as sports. If we add to this age, we realize that not only wreaks havoc aging, but the period of development and growth is also critical for this joint .

Johansson Larsen syndrome is very similar to Osgood-Schlatter disease, but in this case the injury occurs in the tendon (ligament) on the lower patellar pole of the patella .
The patella is connected to the tibia by the patellar tendon. When we are in the process of growing, the tendon attaches to a growth plate (or epiphyseal plate) located at the base of the kneecap. Repeated stress on the patellar tendon as a result of sports, it can cause the growth plate to become irritated and inflamed.
