Evidence suggest that the first year of nursing practice is challenging for many new graduate nurses, particularly as they strive to build confidence in their professional practice (Pfaff, Baxter, Jack, & Ploeg, 2014). It is suggested that most academic programs provide limited opportunities for nursing students to develop a sense of confidence in inter professional collaboration (Olson, 2009; Pfaff et al., 2014). However, my previous and current professional experience has given me the ability to relate to my team in a manner that promotes the delivery of positive outcomes to my patients.
