What are some treatments for Bulimia? One way that Bulimia can be treated is by discontinuing the cycle of regurgitating the food that they digested or consumed. Another treatment is changing negative thoughts about their body shape, weight, and dieting. There are many medical risks that affects every regulatory system in the body. These include: the immune system, digestive system, skeletal system, cardiovascular system, and the reproduction system. Dizziness and fainting, heart issues, hair loss, and menstrual irregularities are all complications of bulimia. Many of these medical complications can very seriously affect a person's body (Makhzoumi).

Eating disorders are things that about 10 million females and 1 million males in the United States experience. It is estimated that four out of ten individuals in the United States have not experienced or they know someone who has gone through an eating disorder. About 1.5% of women will experience Bulimia in their lifetime (Ekern). I learned so much about Bulimia. I learned what the side effects and symptoms were of this disorder and how this eating disorder effects a person's brain and body for short and long term.
