Hors de Combat is a term used for anyone who is unable to take part in hostility and has lost the ability to take arms. Meaning, these people cannot protect themselves due to loss of consciousness and either are sick or wounded. In addition, individuals who engage this identified Hors de Combat are guilty of violating the Law of War.
Auxiliary Medical Personnel: vital members of the armed forces that consist of medical professionals and technicians specially trained to perform medical duties such as treatment of wounded and sick military and civilian personnel. These teams of individuals may include doctors, nurses, combat medics, and other medical staff.
Grave Breaches are a violation of the Geneva Convention of which the person or group of individuals involved is in clear infraction of the Law of War and the offense is comparable to a felony in criminal law.
