Some people see Bella as this young adult who’s insecure and weak-minded for marrying a guy fresh out of high school but she is much more than that. Edward helps her become this strong and more goal-driven character who proves over and over again that she is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves. I was a sophomore in high school when I was first introduced to the novels by Stephenie Meyer, the films had not been released yet. A friend saw me reading a Fear Street book by R.L. Stine, one of my favorite authors since middle school. She recommended I read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and was raving about it saying I was going to love it. Later, that day after school I was curious to why she so into the book and decided to walk to the school library and search for the book she had recommended. As soon as I got home I began reading Twilight and realized it was one of those type of books you can’t put down. All four novels had been released and I read them all in less than two weeks. By December of that year, the film based on the first book was soon to be release and I couldn’t be more excited. Similarly to my friend, it was all I talked about and was anxiously waiting for the movie. After reading all the books, I reread them a second time because I felt like I read them too fast the first time around. Before, I was more interested in spending my time reading
