This is where students make connections to other books, television show, or movies. Finally, there is making connections based on text to world. Text to world is when the teacher relates what is read to what may happen (or has happened) in the world. All three levels of making connections are present within my observation classroom. Another reading strategy that the teacher has the students employ is using inferences. This is where the students draw inferences based on asking questions. For example, if the students were reading a mystery story, they may be able to infer what has happened based on asking
