Humans, after years and years have come to terms that men will do the heavy lifting and the women while women tend to the home and children. This affects a family household because it carries on the stereotype and that is not a good example to show children how to grow up. When gender bias is shown in jobs, they conflict with the working environment. In recent years, it has been proven that, “... younger men are ‘out-educated by women’ and being ‘out-performed’ by women economically, defining the last generation of ‘traditional’ in their late 20s” (Future of Men). Women have improved in the workforce and have been given a higher paycheck and better promotions based on the education and connections they make. Some women would say that this is not true and would argue that men still are mostly chosen for work positions that they feel they are more qualified for. It’s important for people to understand that times are changing and gender inequality is coming to an end. However, there are still matters that do not change even as time progresses. According to the Census Bureau reports and data collection, there is an average $8,990 difference between men’s and women’s pay wage in the past 16 years (Pay Equity). While some jobs, like teaching does not necessarily show a big wage gap, many job occupations do show it like, retail shops, and big corporation jobs. Being a certain gender will affect a person on how they are paid or how they seen as in as an economic value in
