Many are the reasons are to why a person might have either the negative or positive view towards this fascinating research. Cloning has stirred up questions about the role of God in society as well as is it ethically questionable. Religions are the strongest in having opposing views towards human cloning. For example, Christians claim to have evidence of verses from the holy bible that back up their thoughts. According to the bible, man is not at the position to make crucial decisions about the value of human life. Moreover man is not seen as being the superior authority over himself to be acting; therefore, there is not reason for any person to be acting like God himself. Te bible says that “ God created man and gave him responsibility over the earth (Genesis 1:28-29, 9:1-2), this includes the accountability to God” (“What Is the Christian View of Human Cloning?”). Another debating subject is the question of whether or not the cloned human would have at all some kind of soul as uniquely as all of us nowadays have. Genesis 2:7 says, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (“What Is the Christian View of Human Cloning?”). I have learned what cloning is, different views regarding its existence, and much more. I must confess that science fascinates me to a very high extent. I had seen sci-fi movies about cloning, but never had I actually taken the time to truly do my research on such topic. Many are the benefits and disadvantages that encircle the exotic idea of cloning anything at all. Perhaps the most argued idea is the challenge of cloning a human being in the near future. Cloning human beings is said to not be one hundred percent safe just yet. Over the years, this specific unimaginable creation has caused, for the most part, people to have nightmares about what the future would look like if this were to ever turn into a success. I am part of the multitude who agrees that cloning would possibly erase much of the uniqueness in a human being resulting in loss of individuality and freedom. Each and one of us has the treasure of coming up with genuine ideas without copying entirely from another person’s ideas. Cloning human beings would do the complete opposite taking away that creativity from the individuals mind. Diversity is one of the major features of this world that keeps it evolving.
