This probably was mainly influenced by numerous unwanted complications which can occur during and after implant removal.
The complications after hardware removal are impaired wound healing, infections, refractures, neuro vascular damage, or sometime an incomplete removal. In the literature general conscience is lacking regarding implant removal [6,7,8,9]. Therefore generalized recommendations regarding its removal cannot be established.
The implant removal imposes addition financial burden in developing country like India due to lower socioeconomic status among most of the population where there is less than 20 % population has medical insurance.
