Hypersexuality Should Not be a Mental Disorder in the DSM Hypersexuality is a mysterious topic to researchers. How do you study something that some may take pride in and others may be too ashamed to share? Truly the only way to study hypersexuality is through the lens of other mental disabilities that cause distress to a person’s well being. As such there have been many correlational studies that look at hyper sexuality when in tangent to other disabilities.
