Lev Vygotsky states the more students interact with other people, the more they will learn. I observed that in the classroom the students interact and help each other in everyday things such as reading or just organizing their things into their desks. Lev Vygotsky also states social activities that learn from communication and watching one another are essential for everyone. I observed that the children use this theory a lot in the way that they communicate with each other in english class. Vygotsky also states that teachers and students might take turns leading small group discussions. This is shown when the teacher puts the kids into small groups to discuss what they just read in english or how they are connected to the story. Piaget is a stage theorist and he states that the kids from ages 7-11 can classify objects into categories. This is shown in the classroom when the kids put different nouns and verbs into categories to learn what the difference is between the two. Piaget also states that kids 7-11 learn best through direct experiences. Such as when the teacher is teaching about something like weighing objects on a scale for science the teacher will bring in a scale for the kids to see how different the objects can be from a science point of view. Lastly, Piaget states that certain operations can be reversed in that sense when the kids are learning math they also learn that the problems can be reversed to make the same right answer. Some other theorists are Howard Gardner and B.F. Skinner. Skinner’s theory is based on operant conditioning, when a person encounters a special kind of stimulus called reinforcing stimulus, this stimulus has the effect of increasing the operant that is the behavior occurring just before the reinforcing stimulus. Skinner states that when we reinforce a behavior we are more likely
