N-(1-Naphthyl)-ethylenediamine Di-hydrochloride (NEDA) - A 1% aqueous solution should have only one absorption peak at 320 nm over the range of 260nm to 400nm. NEDA displaying more than 1 absorption peak over this range is impure and should not be used.
Hydrogen Peroxide, 30%.
Phosphoric Acid, 85%.
Sulfanilamide Solution - Dissolve 20gm of sulfanilamide in 700ml of distilled water. Add, with mixing, 50ml of 85% phosphoric acid and dilute it to 1000ml. The solution will be stable for a month, only if refrigerated.
NEDA Solution - Dissolve 0.5gm of NEDA in 500ml of distilled water. The solution is stable for a month, only if refrigerated and protected from sun light.
