the food production has effected the way that food is made and how much is
made. The production of food of processed foods have been produced with the
new technology of GMO’s. GMO’s have been a big part of processed foods
because GMOs help mass produces these foods, but also give food’s a gene that
has been picked for tasting and looking better than if it was natural grown itself.
The Insider states, “Simply put, genetic modification involves manipulating the
genetic makeup of food to create or enhance characteristics that are desired by
humans.” http://thenextweb.com/insider/2012/09/23/how-technology-gave-us-

that is grown with a seed that had been made to look and taste a certain way. This
wheat will be apart of the future processed foods that are eaten in America, like a
hamburg bun. A grain that is grown with GMOs could also, be feed to an animal
that will start to consume the GMO grain and that meat will be served to
someone. Either way this GMO is being consumed as a grain or a meat. Another
example of GMOs being served would be sugar. In the article, 13 GMOs
