the graveyard setting, the reader anticipates something scary may

suspense. Pip comes upon the convict in the marsh. “ You young dog,
said the man licking his lips, what fat cheeks ha’ got” (Dickens 2). By
his word choices, Dickens makes the reader fearful of the man. The
choices of descriptive words creates more suspense
