This assignment will talk about what depression is, as well as facts and signs of it. It will also outline the community health service and what they provide, as well as locating any other health services that may be of use if you are suffering from depression.

Community attitudes and perceptions have changed through the years. In the early 2000s people’s perceptions of mental illnesses was extremely low with many people not wanting live or be any were near people with a mental illness. Ways to do this is to publicise depression on tv, radio and encourage people with depression to seek help. Statistics show that most people don’t understand what depression is completely and most think it is just a problem of how people feel. (Newlifeoutlookcom, 2016)
Money from the government should be increased so that clinics who specialise in depression have the money to advertise their facilities. More money is needed for the clinics because it will allow them to be able to do workshops as well as go around to schools to teach kids how important depression is and how to seek out help.
Community workshops for depression will help many people. People with depression can go to these workshops and learn more without necessarily having to tell anyone they have depression.
