Joe King Oliver was also one of the artist who helped bring Jazz to Chicago because he moved there and brought his love for Jazz with him in 1921. Since people at this time still weren’t accepting of the black culture and Jazz was mostly composed by black people majority of whites still weren’t accepting of the type of music. Along with the music moving to Chicago, it also changed some of the sound to the music too. Chicago brought a more brass sound and less improvisation. Some of the new bands formed was the Austin High Gang which was a group of white kids that wanted to start playing Jazz.
