Effective communication and teamwork are the answer for the delivery of high quality, safe patient care. Communication failures are an extremely common cause of unintentional patient harm. The complexity of medical care combined with the inherent limitations of human performance makes it critically important that physicians have consistent communication tools. To learn more about what else is needed to deliver high- quality care I interviewed two health professionals. The aim of the Act is a healthcare law aimed at improving the health care system of the United States by widening health coverage to more Americans. When I asked Ramirez how he felt about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act he stayed quiet for a few seconds and answered “ Well I find that is a good step towards delivering health care to all individuals. Many people that taught they would never be able to afford health insurances are now given the chance to qualify for it. From my understanding Medicaid has changed their requirements allowing more people to qualify for it. I personally believe this is long over due.” Dr. Khakhar in the other hand had some mix feelings about the Affordable Care Act. “ Is it good that people have a better chance of obtaining health insurance yes it is but lets talk about the people that are not legal. There are millions of immigrants in the United States that will see no benefits to this Act. They still remain uninsured and with no hope of obtaining insurance. We are discussing human beings that work jobs that most Americans will never do.” Since Dr. Khakhar only works with accident related insurance this does not affect his scope of
