Based on research it is known that 70% of all cases of asthma are caused by smoking or smoke exposure as a second or third hand. According with the results children has a higher risk to develop the disease than adults. According to the CDC, Asthma has increased rapidly from 2001 to 2010. However, there is a solution in order to prevent this disease. Parents should take action such as quit smoking and focus more on their children future.

Normative Beliefs: An individual’s perception of what people who are important to them think about the behavior. (What I think they think)
Goal: To increase an individual’s awareness of what those important to them think when it comes to smoking cessation.
Intervention: with this intervention, it is necessary to collect information about what their relatives or their important people think about smoking cessation. After obtaining their responses, it is important to show smokers especially parents and pregnant women what they were their responses. The responses can be recorded; if we show the responses to the smokers, some of them might change their way of think because they will know how they are affecting their relatives.
4. Motivation to Comply: An individual’s value placed on what they think of the normative beliefs on the behavior
Goal: Increase an individual’s motivation to comply with the thoughts of those important to them in regards of smoking cessation.
Intervention: at this time we can make the smokers conscious of what the thoughts of their closest people are. We can use them to influence them and motivate them to quit smoking. During this intervention we can mentioned pros and cons of quitting smoking, on the pro side it is important to mentioned that it has more benefits than the cons and that I can be a benefits not only for them but for the people they
