Considering the numerous amounts of health problems pesticides have caused, there is no question that they should be illegal. In fact, the Toxic Action Center have conducted many studies on the link between pesticides and diseases and concludes“ Pesticides are linked to a wide range of human health hazards, ranging from short-term impacts such as headaches and nausea to chronic impacts like cancer, reproductive harm, and endocrine disruption,” (“The Problem with Pesticides”). As shown, pesticides cause major problems regarding health. This is such a big problem that hundreds of thousands deaths occur each year from pesticide poisoning alone. It is evident that pesticides will continue to contribute to numerous diseases, illnesses, deaths, and birth deformities, unless people and the government take action to stop the use of these harmful substances.
