I attend the National 4-H Youth Conference and was selected based on my leadership and citizenship qualities. IAlso in 4-H, I have been on a 4-H executive board seven times since I was nine. Moving on to the area of robotics, I have led my robotics team for three years, and in that time, we have won two excellence awards, two state championships, attended the CREATE U.S. Open on three different occasions, and attended Worlds twice, winning the Community Award this past spring. I have spent a lot of time getting young girls involved in STEM. I assisted running a girls only as well as a coed robotics camp; I have taught the code club at the library, and I plan on mentoring an all-girls team in VEX IQ robotics this upcoming school year. As well as being involved in leadership, I also participate in citizenship. I have participated in veteran volunteer activities such as Operation Military Child, greeting Honor Flight participants as they arrived home, distributed poppies for ALA, cookies, pictures, and speeches for Veteran’s Day programs, and Save a Warrior™ fundraising.
