From the very beginning man were placed over woman. It was visible in many areas of life, starting with the God in monotheistic religions who has been and still is portrayed as a man. Furthermore over 90% of societies were on patriarchal basis and woman roles were reduce to taking care of home and were excluded from e.g. economic activities. (Moir A.). It has to be said that majority of scientific discoveries were done by men. Not only was it a common perceiving that men better than women. The word „better” referred to the intelligence, …show more content…
The technique used is called „Diffusion Tensor Imaging”. Verma and her team wanted to map neural connections in the brains. To check whether there is a difference in the pattern of neural connection between male brain and female brain they tested brains of 428 males and 521 females aged eight to 22. (Sample I.) The greatest connectivity between left and right hemisphere was observed in women brains. The connections in males brain were highly confined to the separate …show more content…
They were asked to learn the road from point A to point B on the computer stimulation. After fewer trials men were able to find the way o the destination. Whats more they mede less errors while navigating. However women remembered better the landmark. It suggests that women use different methods in their brain to remember the road than men do and what is important concentrate more on different things. It also mean that in everyday life they are functioning in different ways.
It is not the only research concerning females over-perform in landmark memory. Men and women were asked whether the object placed in the certain space are now in new position if it didn’t move. Women perform better and in more cases were able to identify the location of an object Men had more doubts if the location has changed.
The scientists also discovered that the differences in performing better in different kind of tasks in case of men and women are visible even on the early stage of life. Some differences are present much earlier than puberty. For example, researchers have that Prepubescent girls were better at learning words. Then they were asked to recall them and it occurred that boys had more troubles with this exercise. From the other hand young boys over-performed girls in targeting
