The priorities from the garrison environment are still required. Soldiers still need all the aspects of Army life from the garrison environment; but if there is only time to fight the enemy, the garrison life has to be set aside. Questions about and having to explain every minute detail must be set aside. A Soldier’s understanding of an order or instruction is not as important as the speed in which it is executed during a combat situation. Decisive and swift action is the goal when facing an enemy, this is how wars are won. The basis of trust in leaders, that is required for this to take place, is formed during the leadership that is exhibited during garrison.
