In the United States ”33,000 violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs with about 1.4 million members are criminally active in the U.S. today” (They Poison Our Streets with Drugs.) Numerous people have lost their lives to this lifestyle not only theirs but their close loved ones also. There are multiple types of gang violence but the one that starts them all is “street gangs, […] criminal organizations that formed on the street and operate in neighborhoods throughout the United States” (National Gang Report, Pg. 11.) Gang violence has been a problem for centuries now and it beings with young teens, “the most common age for youth to join a gang is between 13 and 15, making early prevention efforts critical” (Prevent Gang Membership.) Community leaders and schools can play a major role in decreasing the amount of young people starting to join by creating more after school activates and proving more support. Most of the teenagers that join come from an unstable home and join a gang in the hope of feeling like they belong to something resembling a family. If schools and communities could establish hope in a positive way, more teenagers would stay out gang violence. Unfortunately, the government in these areas do not have the financial sources to prove this help or they are not trying hard enough to solve these problems. In crisis people all over the world sending help, donating, and some even volunteer in serious events. For example, when the Chileans miners were stuck underground not only the US stepped in but it also caught the attention of all over the world just like Watney being stuck on Mars caught the attention of all over the world. One of the three leading team in this rescue mission was the American Center Rock Inc owned by Brandon Fisher who worked tirelessly on this mission along with other teams. Just like NASA and China worked tirelessly on rescuing Watney because like Fisher said about this situation "We have got humans in the ground. It doesn 't matter if they are Americans or Chileans" (Oppmann.) In the end of the day when a tragedy hits everyone comes together to
