Friar Lawrence from Romeo and Juliet should be punished for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. One reason is that he married Romeo and Juliet. "Come, come with me, and we will make short work" (II.ii.36). In this quote, he was marrying Romeo and Juliet even though he said that they were going to fast and that leads to destruction. He didn't want to fight, he wanted to keep the peace between the Montagues and Capulets. "I do but keep the peace/ put up they sword, or manage it to part these men with me" (I.i.63-64). Benvolio was trying to stop a fight from happening between the Montagues and Capulets. Also, he was a good friend to Romeo but never chooses a side between the Montagues and Capulets. He told Romeo about the Capulet party because he was trying to cheer him up. Benvolio was trying to get Romeo over Rosaline so he was just trying to be a good friend to Romeo. This was just showing that he cared for his friend and wanted to help Romeo. Benvolio should be pardoned for the Romeo and Juliet's deaths, he was just trying to be a good friend and wanted to keep the peace between the two
