The Franz Liszt Academy of Music is highest educational institution of music in Hungary, it is one the most known buildings in the district VI. It is also one of the largest concert venue.
The Academy of Music (Zeneakadémia) was opened in 1870, allowing good music students to get higher education in Hungary. Ferenc Liszt, the famous Hungarian composer, was one of the biggest supporters of the conservatory, the famous Hungarian composer.
The Academy opened its doors in 1875, and quickly became one of the most important musical building in the whole Europe. EVALUATION
The Art Nouveau is very identified in the Franz Liszt Academy of Music because of the style of art, architecture, applied art and the decorative arts. Since the building was built in 1907 and this art was popular during 1890-1910. Some particular things of this kind of art which is visible in the building are the natural forms and structures, also the curved lines, the architects tried to harmonize with the environment.
The Art Nouveau is considered a total art style because of the wide range of fields, architecture, graphic art, interior design, most of the decorative arts including glasses, jewelry, furniture, textiles.
The building is attractive and it has a huge architectural value. It has a rich interior and exterior with decorative arts and fine art material of Hungarian and Central European Art Nouveau.
