The author does not try to convince you to think one way, yet focusses on what The Freedom of Speech Movement is and how it originated. If I learned one thing from the article, I learned that it is just as much someone else's right as it is mine. In response to how my father feels toward the NFL and Colin Kaepernick's kneeling during the anthem, I would urge him to understand this very concept. Colin Kaepernick has just as much right to kneel as Trump does to tweet about what happened at Berkeley. Although it may be their right, we run into problems when Americans start taking their side and disagreeing with them. When we start to have this divide in beliefs, we forget our rights and what it actually means to “disagree”. I urge everyone to read this article no matter what belief system you side with; the results may surprise
