In this sense, The Fort Worth Police Department and the City of Fort Worth have created a Crime and Control Prevention District fund (CCPD) which enhances the opportunity to continue working in public safety measurements without depending totally on general funds (D. Segura, personal communication, April 20, 2017). This program supports efforts to increase the safety of the Fort Worth community by seeking out non-profit and community organization partnerships. It provides the enhancement of resources for crime reduction and obtains its fund through ½ cent sales taxes. Through these kinds of programs, local communities can enhance the interests of their Latino communities and can secure a welfare, whether or not they decide to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
