Agriculture may have been the cause because it had much impact on these empires. Some experts say that the drying up of the Saraswati River may have been the main cause of the fall of the Indus Valley. Others experts say there may have been a flood in the surrounding area. Both of these causes would have led to a disastrous effect on agricultural activity. On the other hand, the Mycenaean civilization might have collapsed because of an earthquake. During that time migration was common due to frequent earthquakes around the area. This gives much factual evidence for this being the end of this civilization.
