In my opinion, allowing eHealth technology to be accessible to anyone who is registered and has access through a computer, can be extremely beneficial. For example, if a Canadian citizen was to go on vacation outside of Canada and fell ill on their trip, through the FOSS eHealth system, a doctor in a foreign country could access and make additions to that individuals file based on the treatment they received. Then, when that citizen returned to Canada, their family physician would be able to view the treatment administered by the foreign doctor and proceed from there.
