2. Cognitive dissonance: this is term that is used when people van not accept any ideas or facts that contradict with their initial beliefs. People who were brought up being told that they were the most beautiful may not accept the fact in later life that there are other people who are as beautiful or even more beautiful than them.

I do believe that children go through ages where they cannot differentiate between good and bad or what is real and what is not. If they should be confronted to violent images at the times while they are too little, parents should be able to inform their kids how to differentiate between good and bad. I personally want my three year old child to experience what is part of the real world as soon as possible. I would not want him to watch movies where people are getting killed and blood is spreading everywhere just yet because he might have bad dreams from them. What I would not stop him from doing is playing games where scientific figures such as batman or superman will be fighting against the bad or something similar to that. It is ofcourse my responsibility to guide him through any media he might come in contact with and tell him how to react to each one of
