I believe this is actually true. As I observe my family now I can see that we are at times ignoring each other. My brother when he gets home from work he uses television as an excuse to relax. My sister watches Keeping Up With The Kardashians as an excuse to see the latest trends in fashion, or just to relax. I am also guilty, as to using television as an excuse for my son to be calm and watch Mickey Mouse. My mom and I sit together and watch one novela as we drink coffee. I remember when we were small, we used to do service for church. One time my brother was acting stubborn and said that he felt like not going to church. When my family and I came back from church, we found my brother watching Yu-Gi-Oh lying in bed eating ice cream. Yu-Gi-Oh is a Japanese manga series about gaming. I remember him saying that he liked being a bump on a log and he would rather stay in bed watching his show. My parents were mad at him, and my sister and I were jealous that he got to stay. As the years went by we stopped helping out in church, we stopped talking to our friends in church, and soon we even stopped going for a while. Looking back I now understand how this can become a problem We were not relating to other people and we were in our own little world. Also, I remember that when we were in school my parents enrolled us to karate class and basketball practice. Because we were struggling with money, my parents eventually cut off the activities, and my siblings and I got back to doing homework at home, and watching more television until we would fall asleep. I believe that if we would have kept on going to at least one activity we would be more efficient with our time and we would have learned how to manage and prioritize tasks and time. Also as a result from this we were not able to
